| Maria Campatelli was born in the Tuscan region of Italy, in 1962. She studied literature and then history at the University of Siena. For six years she was responsible for the youth of Italian Catholic Action. She obtained her doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome with a dissertation on Sergei Bulgakov. She studies questions of eastern ecclesiology and the theology of culture. She is the Director of the Lipa publishing house. |
